question about photobucket
why, when I try to bring a photo here, do I get a line that says it contains an illegal code?
I am choosing html. is that the wrong one? I don't even know what illegal code means. thanx
for any answers.

1. Use the "direct" code.

2. I'd like to know too - it's baffling
Some photos get the message, others don't. Sometimes the same picture DOESN'T produce the message.

I've tried redirecting through imgred.com - nothing works sometimes.

4. You're using the wrong link.
Photobucket used to just have three options, and the top of the three was the proper one. Now they have four options, and for whatever reason they made the direct link option the second one down.

The top option will give the error message.

6. You can also change the settings so that Photobucket will only show the different ones you want.
My Photobucket only shows direct link and IMG code.

5. You just need to use the URL of the image, no extra tags required for this board

Most message boards use BBcode (IMG code) though, very few allow HTML. You'd use HTML if you were posting to a blog or something like that.
