So, I went to the Chiropractor for the first time!
My knee problem, 6-8 weeks later is still there, and agony, etc. So, I figured, why not? It's covered, see if it helps at all.

Holy crap, looking at my x-rays, my spine is a mess. It's curved in to practically an s-shape, and my neck doesn't curve at all, it's jutting at an angle, pushing my head sort of forward and down. You can really, really see big problems in the xrays.

Will it help my knee? I don't know. But if it helps my spine and neck so I cease to have a bad children's drawing of a bone structure, I'll be glad of that.

I like that he does x-rays. You can really see what and where the problems are. And I'll get follow up xrays in a few months. But, I had my first adjustment yesterday and I hurt like hell. Ugh.

And, that is my story. Woohoo. The end.

1. How did your adjustment feel?
and did he do that thing when they snap your head to the side like they're trying to kill you? I see that in the movies and it scares the hell out of me.

2. It actually didn't feel like anything.
And no, no head snapping. I told him I'm really sketchy about that, and he said he understands, and he wasn't planning on doing it anyway. For my neck, he used a gun thingy. but the back adjustments seriously felt like nothing at all. I didn't hear any weird cracking or snapping or popping, he just sort of moved the table up and dropped it, and pushed really hard on one place once.

It was really fast, painless, not scary. I mean, sure I hurt now, but that's sort of to be expected. Not everyone hurts after adjustment, and apparently after a while I wont hurt at all after being adjusted, but my bones are so fucked up it's not surprising that I hurt.

Have you ever been?

3. No, been thinking about a trip for a long time
but like you, that whole neck thing kept me away. I'm pretty sure I could use some sorting out, I can crack my back by pulling on my shoulder, that's probably an issue.

4. Well, if you have a good Dr
he won't do something you tell him not to do.

I'd give it a try! I only know about this guy because my family go to him, my mother has been to a bunch of different people and found he was the best. She also really liked the x-ray part. It helped her feel more comfortable and confident that he knew what he was doing and she could see the problems for herself.

I know my mother had huge knee problems (not like mine) and her family Dr told her it would never get better and she'd end up in a wheelchair. After chrio care, she's walking and even wearing high heels with nearly no pain. My Dad has always had huge issues with his back, and they're much better now. I figure, worth a shot.

So, if you want to go, just say leave my god damn neck alone.
