Gelatinous Blob In NJ Lagoon Concerns Scientists (REALLY!!)
http://www.msnbc.com/local/wnbc/a1729848.asp?vts=8620031317

LITTLE EGG HARBOR, N.J., 1:17 p.m. EDT August 6, 2003 - Something that looks like it is from a "B" movie has scientists stumped in Little Egg Harbor Township.

A smelly, gelatinous biological mass the size of a small car is floating in the lagoon behind Robert Masterson's house.
Masterson said it smells like a dead horse.

Robert Schrader of the Environmental Protection Department said he has never seen anything like it.

Schrader said the blob doesn't fit the profile for an algae bloom. He will study samples of the substance to find out what it is, or what it is not.

-----------

Ok, let the commentary fly!

7. In the same area, 20 or 30 years ago,
someone's house became infested with some kind of goop. It was in the newspapers, with pictures and all. The goop was everywhere, on the sofa, the walls, the floor. I never heard what it turned out to be.

11. CIA/Anthrax terrorist/ use NJ lagoon as dump - EPA say no problem
Is there still a green party that does more than run Nader so as to help Bush get elected?

Someone might want to tell them about this.

Does Jersey still fence both sides of rivers running into Newark area as touching the water can cause evil problems? Or did Whitman as Gov announce all is well and remove those fences?

Thank God for Bush and Thank God Bush appointed Whitman as head of his EPA. I am going to miss her.
