Ugh, she's at it again
The dept head who came in a couple years ago has brought back the same consulting firm she had brought in originally. The same consulting firm who told her to outsource PC support. (thanks to the union that everybody hates for other reasons, I still have my job and my dept head has thanked me more than once for my efforts.)

She's also mentioning a new possibility for layoffs by next summer and nobody's over the fact she recently promoted a bunch of people either.

I'll just do the best job I can, but this is suspicious. She's a dept head but needs consultants to do the work - twice over, apparently!!!

Until now, I've agreed with my supervisor that my position should remain in the iS department but now I'm thinking I should try to get moved out of that department and into the department who I'm currently supporting at a classification level ABOVE my current one (I've been documenting what they say makes for a classification and what I do in my job). But with the possibilities of layoffs, I'm best situated being third from the bottom of the classification list I suppose, even though those above me do far more complaining and should quit and let me keep my job because, despite or or two bad elements, I LIKE working where I work!!! (my coworkers in my dept are all repukes too, so they'll justify themselves in the end.)
