*This started as part of a response to another post in another thread until I realized it deserved a thread of it's own*
I seem to have a front row seat for this debacle until it resolves itself. (I'm the first source of advice for everyone in the following story...I'm starting to think I should just play Prospero and sort this mess out myself. I have to work with these people though.):
*Ms. Hotgirl (a coworker age 21) wants Mr. Sweetguy, a regular 3x daily customer.
*Mr. Sweetguy (age 19) is daft and doesn't think Ms. Hotgirl would ever give him the time of day. He's ambivalent-acting towards Ms. Hotgirl.
*Ms. Hotgirl is super-traditional and would rather be miserable than be the romantic aggressor.
*Mr. Sweetguy has decided to pursue Ms. Geekgirl (also a coworker).
*Ms. Geekgal is nerdy (likes comic books, sci-fi, LARP, the internet, and musical theatre), age 26, and pretty much only seriously dates men in their mid-to-late 30s.
*Ms. Geekgal would give Mr. Sweetguy a roll in the hay because he's genuinely a good guy and he's attractive, but not hot. She's not looking for a relationship because she wants to deal with her "daddy issues" and doubly-so doesn't want one with Mr. Sweetguy because he's too young. What she really wants is her ex-boyfriend Mr. Fortyemopoet back.
*Ms. Hotgirl complains bitterly about this to Chan. *Ms. Geekgal complains bitterly about this to Chan. *Mr. Sweetguy complains bitterly about this to Chan.
*Chan wants to drive a ten-penny nail through his eardrums so he can get some peace and quiet at work and get back to making amazing coffee-art love.
Any ideas?
