Got in a couple of hours ago and am now finished reading the mail (junk, as usual), playing with the cats (a few old areas of barf to clean up - LOVELY) and saddened to learn of a classmate's death from a brain tumor when I engaged in my morbid routine of reading my hometown obituaries.
Below are some more pictures of my fun lunch with turtlensue yesterday:
(I also had dessert, but very meanly only took a picture of turtlensue and her dessert!)
We had a great time - she's a really cool person, as those of you who are lucky enough to have met her already know.
I walked back and forth in front of the White House in the rain on Thursday. I flipped it off 3 times and lobbed curses at it. There was a gentleman protesting the Iraq occupation and singing anti-war songs, and he smiled at my Obama shirt. I tried to get a passerby to take my picture, focusing on the Obama shirt, but she didn't understand what I wanted and just got the White House and my head. Oh, well.
I should go to the gym tonight, but need to unpack and put something on this rash on my neck - I got some sunburn and think it may be a heat rash. How delightful!
Now I have 5 days to rest and prepare to hop across the pond for our European adventure starting on May 10th!
