Poll question: "W" the movie - will you go see it (Suppose to be very negative about Bush)
Oliver Stone is working on a movie about that idiot in the White House called "W". It's suppose to show what a real idiot this guy is, which you would expect from someone who is not a republican or supporter of George Bush.

The cast looks excellent. Josh Brolin (Barbara Striesand's stepson) is in the role of Bush with James Cromwell (Another Liberal) as Bush Sr. (Ellyn Burstyn is doing Bab's Bush).

I lived thru 8 years of this regime and just don't want to spend another $10 reliving it. But I felt that way about the 9/11 movie; however,I would probably watch that if it was on TV for free. Anyone else think they'd go see the movie

2. what you said.
I'm so freaked out already x( I don't need any more. It will be interesting to see how it does maybe, success-wise.

I like Ellyn Burstyn!

3. Yes, I'd see it.
Actually, I'd wait until it came out on dvd.

But Oliver Stone is one of my favorite directors. I can't say I've liked all of his films, but they've always been interesting and thought provoking. My favorite Stone film is "Nixon". Richard Nixon was far from my favorite President (to put it mildly), but "Nixon" is an excellent, first rate biography. I expect the same from the film about Bush.

8. The difference between Nixon and Bush is I barely remember the Nixon administration
To me watching about Nixon would be no different than watching about Lincoln or Washington or anyone else. Maybe 20 years down the line I'd be interested in a movie about "W" but right now the wounds are still very wide open and even an anti-bush movie would be to much to deal with.

I think I would see a movie done on Reagan - that was painful too and I remember his administration but that was long enough ago that I could stomach it provided it wasn't some glory piece to promote his Sainthood.

4. I'm no fan of "W" and I'm not a big fan of Stone either.
Oliver Stone is almost as big an asshole as W.

11. Thanks, I meant to look it up there
Too bad it couldn't debut in September, right before the general election, just as a reminder of the wonderful 8 years we've just experienced.

but I have to wait until it comes out on video. I want to be close to the bathroom in case I have to puke.

18. Here's hoping they accurately portray his mannerisms and speech
Like how he gets all pissy when someone is impertinent enough to (gasp!) ask him a serious question rather than planting sloppy kisses all over his pasty backside and how he speaks English as if it's his second language (subliminable, misunderestimate, put food on your family, nucular, is our children learning?, internets, etc.).

But even if they do I still won't see it. I already mutter obscenities at the TV and hit the 'mute' button whenever they show his stupid monkey face, and I can't imagine seeing a fictionalized version of him will convince me that he isn't a complete waste of skin.

25. No, but if comes out in 2010, maybe there'll be enough distance between
this hell and then and I might see it. But I still think we'll be cleaning up his mess then, and just his name would irritate me still, much less a movie about the twit.
