So, I was covering this murder last night
A guy shot in an alley behind a strip bar in the entertainment district. And you couldn't see the body and what not from the street cause it was in a little nook. So, I met up with one of our camera men and he was standing in front of an apartment building. He said he was waiting cause one of the guys in the building was charging news people $100 a shot to let them into his apartment where you could get a view of the crime scene. It didn't bother me too much that he was doing this. But, he was so cavalier about it, that's what bugged me. Buddy made like $500. I hate covering non-stories like shootings as much as anyone. And I know I'm no better than this dude, but, at least I'm low-key and somewhat respectful of the dead guy.
But, it's crazy how a murder can stimulate the economy.

Man, that's four dead bodies in two nights I've had to look at.

profiting over another person's misfortune. :-(
