The resolution passed by voice vote, 412-0. Then Todd Tiahrt called for a revote, and 178 repubs voted against it.

I'm a mother and I don't give a rat's ass if anyone besides my own kids, Republican or otherwise, acknowledges that fact.

Mothers Day is already recognized, as is Father's Day. They have been for years.

Again, what did the proposal entail? Seems like something is missing here. Did they want to make it a National Holiday or something?
