while American Idol gets a quarter of the population watching it every week, is all one needs to know to understand the cultural and intellectual maturity of this country.

This is a fantastic version of King Kong!

I also like the version from YCDTOSA with the "I want a nun... I want a nun..."

Zappa is insanely brilliant and wayyyyyyyyyy ahead of his time. Instead we get horseshit like American Idol dominating the airwaves.

3. I've got a ticket to the Planet of the Smart People for my next life

I hear Zappa is honorary president-for-life there, and gives free performances almost daily. I'm looking forward to it. That's my fantasy anyway, and you can't talk me out of it.
