Anybody have any fave podcasts?
I'm looking for more than my old standbys.

1. Only podcast I ever listen to is the official Lost podcast.
I've been considering starting my own though.

3. I like to listen to discussions from the InterDependence Project
http://www.theIDproject.com

from their site...

What is the Interdependence Project?

Based in New York City's East Village, The Interdependence Project is a grassroots, community-oriented non-profit organization. We offer weekly meditation classes, lectures and discussions inspired by the Buddhist philosophical tradition as well as other contemplative education systems, guest lecturers from a variety of backgrounds, workshops and retreats, community service and activism projects, monthly arts groups and seasonal arts shows, and an online multi-genre magazine (Sentient City). The ID Project is dedicated to teaching the insights of meditation techniques and applying the truth of interconnectedness to life in the 21st-century world.

5. I'm a fan of The Skeptics Guide to the Universe
http://www.theskepticsguide.org/

The Skeptics Guide to the Universe is a weekly Podcast talkshow produced by the New England Skeptical Society (NESS) in association with the James Randi Educational Foundation (JREF) : discussing the latest news and topics from the world of the paranormal, fringe science, and controversial claims from a scientific point of view.

It's a good listen for any freethinker/humanist/science fan

9. KunstlerCast.
I don't necessarily agree with James Howard Kunstler's ideas in toto, but he's got definite ideas, he backs up his positions well, in plain English, and most importantly- he's listenable. Not boring, dry and academic. He's got a great sense of humor, even though what he's talking about should be thoroughly depressing- the end of the American way of life.

I especially loved his take on 'starchitects'. Star architects who design buildings to win awards, rather than functional buildings. Each one is about 15 minutes long.

10. groovelectric
Welcome to the New Old Funk -- a unique marriage of modern electronic dance music and great old-funk sound.

It's by the same guy who does the Podruner mixes.

11. Reduced Shakespeare Company, Le Show, Jim Boggia, Mashuptown
I think you can find all of these at their respective websites. Reduced Shakespeare Company's podcast is sort of an interactive look at the inner workings of a theater group. Fascinating and funny. Le Show is Harry Shearer's long running radio program. Jim Boggia is just a great musician (who doesn't update his podcast enough). Mashuptown is a podcast for mash-ups. Most of the mash-ups these days are just an a cappella rap track over top of something by Daft Punk, but there's still a few moments of brilliance in there. A recent one combined "Beautiful Girl" and "Easy." My all-time favorite is still the one that combined "Superfreak" and "Roxanne."
