Why Do Gas Stations Still Have That 9/10'ths On Their Prices

Why cant they just say, $3.99 per gallon, not 3.99 9/10 :grr: :grr:

they mainly do it to trick consumers into believing the price is cheaper than it really is. They end up rounding the 9/10 to the nearest penny, all the while without telling you this. While it doesn't make much difference in small scales, on the macro scale in the long run the companies make billions of extra profit.
