2. Was there any doubt?
We can just have all Twins games on ESPN from now on to win the rest of the season.

13. Wow, really?
Maybe he's different on ESPN games. With the Giants (I'm listening to him right now), he's great. I love his sensa humor and his impersonations of Vin Scully and... gah, what's the name of the guy in Philadelphia?

14. He may very well be different on Giants broadcasts.
He has to be smarter about baseball than he comes off in the national broadcasts, since he has been doing it for decades. But he asks Joe all sorts of really stupid questions, and prattles on and on about stuff.

18. Yeah, he does prattle
But he prattles funny. :D

I imagine the reason he feeds Morgan is Morgan's ego needs it.

Check out a Giants game on XM sometime. See if he's different.

20. Will do.
I used to kind of like Joe Morgan, but last night he was kind of an arrogant dick on the air.

27. I've never cared for Morgan
He's always had a lot of "We did it better in my day" about him. Same with McCarver.

That's one thing I like about Rick Monday — he explains what went wrong with a play or an at-bat without sounding haughty. His first year with Charlie Steiner was kinda rough, but last year you could really hear a greater camaraderie.

Although I usually identify NFL Films with John Facenda's voice, because I'm old 'n' stuff. :)

16. It's been ages since I've heard Harrelson
I think NBC had him for a coupla seasons, back when the ball was square.

Buck's monotone puts me to sleep when he isn't overstating the incredibly obvious.

I'd like to throw McCarver my hard-breaking STFU ball.

24. I've had it bookmarked for awhile
Hey, wanna hear God call an inning? :D http://www.doubledogmusic.com/baseball/Scully_Koufax_Perfect.mp3

Backstory: Stations didn't save game tapes in 1966, but some teenager in LA who was a hugh Dodgers fan set up a tape recorder by the radio in his bedroom while he went out on a date — but forgot to turn it on. His dad came in and turned it on in the second inning, and it's a good thing he did. When the kid came home, his dad didn't say anything, just ushered him to listen to the tape. They stayed up until like 2:30 listening to it together.

Just like the audio of Russ Hodges calling Bobby Thompson's homer in 1951, which came from the tape recorder of a guy in Brooklyn, it turned out to be the only tape in existence.

19. Yep, the "A" Fox Baseball crew is horrible
Of course the TBS announcers in the playoffs were very eclectic, epically the sideline reporter.

25. I found him finally, Craig Sager
What a waste of space and airtime.

He was horrible, seemed totally uninterested and wore the worst looking suits possible.

28. 'Sideline' reporters in baseball are a waste
I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really want to string up Faux Sprots by its tiny nutsack for its horrendously stupid in-game "interviews" with managers and coaches, who rarely, if ever, say anything worth hearing.

Just show the fuckin' game, assbuckets. And not from a "dirt cam" or a fuckin' blimp.

10. Should be a good game, I'll say that much.
It'll almost be fun watching the Twinkies pitchers struggling in the thin altitude...

That is, if our own starting pitcher doesn't struggle just as much. x(

Not much power, a lot of dinking and doinking men around the bases though.
