Hey, I just figured out how to play the intro to Boston's "More Than a Feeling" on my guitar!
I was just playing around a bit on my guitar a few minutes ago when I stumbled upon a familiar riff. I said to myself "Hmmm, this sounds familiar" and after a couple of minutes I had nailed it! I am soooooooo ready to join a garage band in 1977 now! :P :woohoo: :headbang:

Let's rock. :headbang:

Edited 'cuz "banghead" is not the same as "headbang."

8. Gah!
Next time you post a pic, I'm gonna look for the adam's apple. :D

I started in boys' glee in high school (sophomore) as a first tenor. By my senior year, I was a bass. But I can still handle baritone, and quite a bit more than that in falsetto.

9. I used to be a heavy smoker, and I suspect I would naturally be a first alto if it were not for that

13. That's probably a lot of mine, too
Also, lack of use. Y'gotta keep those muscles warm and limber.

I never understood why there was always a bottle of lemon juice passed around before concerts, but I drank it because everybody else did.

Oh — I was doing "Blue Moon" (the Marcels' version) at karaoke one night, sailin' along just fine... until I got to "And when I looked, the moon had tur..."

At which point my voice cracked.

17. The lemon juice?
My choir director in college passed around a bottle of those Vitamin C wafer things. I think it was to ward off upper respiratory infection that would affect the vocal chords.

21. Lemon juice supposedly loosens up the vocal cords
So they said.

5. As I recall
the verses have kind of an odd progression. I had the same problem with "Do You Feel Like We Do?"

When you get through with that, let's work on "Smokin'." :headbang:

14. you really can't go wrong with any track off that album...
I've been "playing" the hell out of Foreplay/Long Time on Rock Band...I like it better than Guitar Hero because it lets you play drums and sing along with the guitar playing

20. 'Foreplay' is excellent
I rate it with Van Halen's "Eruption" for instrumental arias.

Never cared much for "Hitch a Ride" or "Long Time," but I think it's just the chorus on "Long Time" that turns me off. Whenever I hear it, I picture 10,000 Really White People going, "Ooooo, we get to clap!"

26. I freaked when I first heard that song
On the first album I ever recorded, I had an instrumental piece with EXACTLY that riff
in it, and I composed the piece years before "More Than a Feeling" ever came out. But,
since I took a day (well, day and night) job instead of going for a musical career, I
never got around to pursuing it, and only those who had heard me play it knew I was telling
the truth about it.
