if you are unemployed you don't need to wash them?

3. It means you can skip the wash unless there are employees in there
In which case you'd better wash up. Otherwise, as soon as you walk back out they'll get on the speaker and say, "Hey, everybody, this guy didn't wash his hands in the bathroom. You might want to give him a wide berth. In fact, he looks like he hasn't even bathed today. And he smells funny, too."
