I visited SophieMN's kindergarten class today.
She was the class "star of the week" so I got to come in and share stories about Sophie. They had an "all about Sophie" question and answer period, and the teacher asked her "what's your favorite thing to do with your family?" Sophie replied, "When my Mom goes shopping, my Dad cracks my toes. I like it when he cracks my toes."

She also interrupted our discussion by proclaiming loudly (in front of the class) that she couldn't focus, because I had lipstick on one of my teeth.

Two little girls told me that they liked my hair, and a boy told me several times that he is going to eat blueberries in his pancakes very soon.

I love kindergarteners.

 :D

1. The last truly honest people on earth.
Sounds like a fun time. The toe cracking thing has me totally LOL.

Better tell MrMN that with that child's wit and beauty, he should probably get a shotgun.

2. Ha!
I took her shopping with me last weekend, and it was SO much fun. She's so incredibly funny and pleasant to be with. I almost forget that she's six.

:loveya:

3. Kindergarten is my favorite group.
I have taught K-12, and K is the best! Too bad they don't stay that sweet forever.

4. I am 38, and my family never fails to remind me that I often reminded
them of certain things, very loudly in public, like the fact that they had hair in their noses, or lipstick on teeth, or jiggly boobies, whatever. I guess I should clarify that I did these things when I was in kindergarten, too.

:D

Kids are a riot. Sophie sounds like a hell of a lot of fun.

5. One little girl at church--a three year old--gives me a review of her clothes
Edited on Fri May-16-08 10:21 PM by mycritters2
every Sunday: "Pastor Critters, today I have on a pretty dress." "Pastor Critters, the pink dress I'm wearing today isn't very pretty." One week--"Pastor Critters, the dress I have on today costed too much and my dad said we could've bought it at the big store cheaper."

Sooooo cute!!
