I need advice re: epoxy or shoegu
I'm about to move out of my apt., but I have some plastic hooks that I had epoxied onto tile and hardwall. How do I get the hooks off without damage?

1. If it were me, I would leave the hooks.
The ones on the tile will be the easiest, the ones on the painted wall, not so much. Acetone should work, if you have any nail polish remover, it will be slow going though. You can use paint stripper, which dissolves most anything, it will also dissolve the hooks. You could melt the epoxy at around 130 degrees, maybe set your iron on it, and then use a razor to scrape off the rest, once the hook is released.

Getting them off the wall is going to be rough, I would leave them and just kiss a portion of my deposit goodbye.

2. With a machete.
Man, those things are FUN. After you get the hooks off you can go after the curtain rods, the door handles, the lighting fixtures...

Wait a minute, you said "without damage"? NEVER MIND.

4. just leave them there
People are less likely to notice that a new hook as turned up than they would a fucked up bit of the wall.
