Okay baseball players are really weird
I have the Brewers/Red Sox game on and one of the announcers said (in regards to baseball superstitions) that Jason Giambi has a lucky THONG that he wears......And then Bob Uecker..OMG he's so funny..Starting talking about protective cups and thongs....

Bob Uecker might be the funniest sports announcer...

1. "Just a bit outside..."
greatest line ever from Bob Eucker in the movie Major League.

2. Interesting
When the Dodgers were in Milwaukee this week and I was listening to Uecker on XM, I thought of e-mailing him, "How come you don't loosen up for Boozers games? We know you're a lot funnier than this."

But I figure Boozers management doesn't want funny on the broadcasts.

Now, if you want funny baseball announcers, y'gotta listen to Jon Miller and Kruk and Kuip with the Giants. They break my ass up at least once per game. :D

3. Maybe its cause he was in the Fox booth...
So he loosened up a bit.
BTW, one of the reasons I loathe the Baltimore Orioles is they FIRED Jon Miller....

4. Oh, oh, oh
Yeah, that'd be different. Faux would certainly want Uke to be funny, since it's his character, and since Faux doesn't know shit about baseball or have any respect for the game.

(I just turned off the Dodgers-Angels game and got it on the XM because I got so sick of listening to the Faux fucks root for the Hohos.)

5. I thought it was because of Peter Angelos. On a side note,
I work with someone who continually bitches about trial lawyers, but yet still think angelos is a good owner (who just happens to be A TRIAL LAWYER). I pointed that fact out to him quite gently and he hasn't mentioned it again (after turning bright red!!11!) What a fucking moran!!1!!

7. Oh yeah1!
I had been down here a few weeks (2004) and was on a trip into DC with him, when he started talking about how he was a republic and knew Mike Steele and was really involved with the republic party. I damn near did this in his minivan.. :spray:
