Okay, maybe I'm a bad mom, but I laughed when my son relayed this 5th grade humor:
It seems my son and two of his best friends were a little put out in music the other day because they were made to sing "Let It Be" for the umpteenth time. To make it interesting, they reworked the lyrics in their own way. He said the music teacher didn't know because they blended their voices with the other kids (I'd be surprised if she was truly not "on" to them ... but she didn't say anything and they didn't get in trouble, at least).

So, their version goes:

Let me pee
Let me pee
Let me pee
Hey, let me pee
Speaking turds of wisdom
Let me pee.

at that age. Hilarious.

I say you arent a bad mom for laughing. It is funny. And if the teacher can't even tell, who are they hurting.

My son pulled those antics all the time. And he turned out just fine. He is 25 now. I always loved his imagination and his sense of humor when he was growing up, and nurtured it.

On afterthought : I will NEVER be able to listen to that song the same way again.
