The first time I went to Japan, I was very excited about three things:

1) Beer vending machines (and I still love them!!!! Truly an invention from God)

2) UCC Coffee (only because I'm a member of the United Church of Christ, though UCC in the coffee context means United Coffee Company, they use "UCC" on everything so it looks cool)

3) Pocari Sweat.

Numbers 1 and 3 I became excited about because of Dave Berry's book about Japan.
