Saturday night lounge game: describe your "perfect" guy or gal
Edited on Sat May-17-08 09:22 PM by Ava
you know, the type of person that if they existed you'd be totally smitten!

mine is nonexistent(to my knowledge)

personality wise -
he'd be smart and funny, sarcastic but also serious, liberal and open minded, romantic but not sappy, artsy and fun

and being slightly superficial -
tall and lanky, sort of nerdy and geeky, nice smile, and i have a thing for guys with brown eyes

your turn!

1. One of the top birders in the country.
Really, really, really smart.

Good sense of humor.

Not a drug addict.

Looks like this:

2. All I need is someone I'm capable of being attracted to
Edited on Sat May-17-08 10:16 PM by DarkTirade
who is smart, quirky/interesting, and interested in the same general types of things that I am... but not the exact same things. Because if we were interested in just the exact same things, there'd be nowhere to go from there. Whereas if we're into the same KIND of things, we have enough overlap to have a starting place, and enough not overlapped already to have somewhere to go.

A quick wit and artsy sensibilities are always a plus. :)

*edit* Oh, and it kinda helps if they're attracted to me too... little details. :P

*another edit* Oh, and as far as looks go, I tend to prefer 'cute' to 'pretty'... I think it's 'cause I got used to being the pretty one in the relationship. :P

Tall and very good looking. Great smile that extends to his eyes. Funny, romantic, hard-working, generous, thoughtful, appreciative, self-confident.

Loves the outdoors, is not intimidated by a smart, independant woman, and absolutely adores me. :)

That's the main thing I look for in a female.

And then I look for a sense of humor, sarcasm, and liberal.

And for superficial, I'd love a schoolgirl.

97. well, if you would settle for a woman about 3 inches shorter than that
my ex-wife filled out the rest of your description... (her dad used to joke that she was really adopted from Dolly Parton) though, her hair was shoulder-length or so when we were married.

of course, you'd also have to deal with somebody who did almost no housework and had a very poor concept of fiscal responsibility. But, that was a while ago, maybe she's changed?

17. Someone who is funny, listens to me
is smart but not someone who thinks they are smarter than everyone else, someone who is easy to talk to, a little pevvy, attractive to me, attracted to me, mostly someone who is compassionate and loving towards others and not judgmental or mean by nature.

Also spunk and fight make for a little more fun, passionate, loves music, animals, and playing...

Not the greatest looking man and his body was badly scarred from an attempted murder.

But he could read me like a book. He always knew what I wanted - whether it was some weird sexual thang or what I wanted for deinner, And that is so cool - to know what I want and provide it before I even know I want it.....

And now he's going to try to argue with me about that, but really, all italian cars are shitty. The best case scenario is that they're fast enough that you're supposed to wreck them before anything major falls off.

Perfect guy:
A rebel, maybe one with a motorcycle, but also intellectual, the kind who could play chess and have a conversation about poetry.

Perfect girl:
An artist, kind of a goth but not the snobby kind, with a twisted sense of humor. Being Japanese wouldn't hurt either.

I'm just looking for the divine hammer

One divine hammer <2x>

I'm just looking for one divine hammer
I'd bang it all day
Oh the carpenter goes bang
Bang bang
I'm just looking for the divine hammer

One divine hammer <2x>

I'm just looking for a faith
Waiting to be followed
It disappears this near
You're the rod I'm water
I'm just looking for one divine hammer

Seriously though, I'd totally be responsible if I won the lottery. I'd invest most of the money, start a business or two, make sure I helped pump money back into the local economies and whatnot... THEN I'd blow the rest on booze and hookers.

If you do it in the other order you usually never make it to the responsible spending part. :P

55. I have met a few pretty close....
Intelligent. Talented. Creative and artistic. (especially writing) Likes literature, film and music. Pretty Liberal politically. Personable, especially laughs at all my jokes. I like women who are interested in all kinds of things, culture, the world etc. It makes for interesting conversation. I want somebody who will let me be really good to them. I hate that some people treat niceness as a weakness, I want somebody I can treat fantastic and treat special, without having to worry about having my good nature exploited.

Typically I go for shorter women because I'm short. That mainly evolved because alot of times women aren't interested in a guy several inches shorter than they are. I just sort of started preferring shorter women (around 5'0 give or take) but really, I don't care if they're tall as long as they like me. I don't care if a woman isn't perfect, I'm not, an average body type is fine, she doesn't have to have ripped up abs or anything, I just like the person. You have to have some type of physical attraction, but that spark can come from many different things.

Ava, I can hardly wait to see whom you fall in love with; he'd better be just as spectacular as you are! In the meantime, I believe you just described John Cusack. ;-) He's single, you know. He'll have to wait a few years. Then again, it will be WORTH IT!

The perfect man. Hmmm. Well, besides flvegan? If I could specify his personality, he'd be intelligent, funny, thoughtful, kind, easy to talk with, and a little geeky. He has to be a Democrat. He must be able to laugh at himself. He should also be dazzled by me.

The physical? Oh, there's someone currently walking the planet that I think is the perfect man. He's tall, has dark hair, brown eyes, muscles on his muscles, and the most gorgeous smile. I just keep telling myself that I'm sure I wouldn't be quite so entranced IRL. In the meantime, I was always into tall, dark and handsome, and I married a blue-eyed blond.

Go figure.

And I've read a few others, including "Footfall", "The Ringworld Engineers", and "Oath of Fealty".

65. Passion
Not just sexual, I want someone who feels things, has opinions and isn't afraid to discuss them but has an open mind. Someone who is curious to learn new things. Someone who allows me to be me. Someone who doesn't try to control me or belittle me or put labels on me. Liberal, artistic, confident, dry humored, and intelligent. I don't want to have to explain any more jokes.

As for physical attributes... I like tall and lanky, darkish hair, I dig tattoos but not if they cover everything, not overly hairy (chest is fine, back not so much) I'm attracted more towards the casual jeans, tshirt guy rather than the suit and tie guy.

70. Sense of humor
He has to make me laugh.

Intelligence
He needs to be able to hold a conversation, and know about a variety of subjects, especially current events.

Things in common
My perfect guy would like sports, movies, music, dancing, clubbing and have a sense of spontaneity.

Looks
yes looks are important..you have to be attracted to the person. I prefer someone a bit taller than me with a somewhat athletic build..I don't have the perfect body so I can't expect them too, but some muscles (but not too roided out) would be nice.

I like my men darker (and not a fake tan). I like dark hair and dark eyes.

And a nice package always helps! LOL! :hide:

76. He'd be my best friend.
With a little fire underneath. :)

Absurdly intelligent, funny, witty, sarcastic, open-minded, romance without the sap, creative in some way (words or music or paints or something), a geek for something. We'd have half-raunchy inside jokes and would sit next to each other immersed in our own things without feeling the need to talk. We'd listen to music together and wonder at little blips of phrases of word or song. We'd analyze the hell out of many things. Our conversations would just leapfrog, one after the other, half-improvised, so easy, so free.

He'd be either dark-haired and olive-skinned or have red hair and anything else.

She would love me for who I am and not who or what she wants me to be.
I don't care what she looks like.
As long as I missed her when she was away, and feel bathed in pure joy when she is near.
I would like to be able to trust her enough not to break my heart but love her so much it would kill me if she did.
I'd like her to be a friend.

Has been smart, strong-willed, outgoing, talkative, left-of-center politically, and shown an obvious lack of common sense by going out with me.

Physically, I've dated almost as much of a variety of women as Captain Kirk...(unfortunately, green women are in short supply here on Earth, so I can't ever catch up...)

I think 6 feet tall has been the tallest woman I've dated (I'm an honest 5'9" - meaning I'm taller than most guys who say they're 5'9" or 5'10")

Which about sums it up for looks. Personality wise, I'm into girls who are nerdy, and snarky-verging-on-cruel in their humor.
