On tap at Tavernertavern: Port Brewing 2nd Anniversary Ale

Sweet, piney, bitter, floral and strong all at the same time.

Life is good here in California...life is good.

This is the kind of beer that makes you appreciate your kids, your life, your wife, your state, your home, your penis, your brain, your superiority of your brain over your penis (in most cases) and above all your tongue.

This beer is all about all flavors. It has bitter. It has floral nasal flavors. It has sweet. It has caramel richness. It has salty - almost as if you can taste the salty air of San Diego. It has everything a San Diego IPA should have.

I swear, if I could convince the wife, I'd be living in San Diego right now.

1. I finally got my hands on some Dogfish 90 minute IPA.

We finally get distribution out here in the bay area.

Of course, it's very different from the West Coast IPA. It says so on the bottle, calling itself an "East Coast IPA".

I love the regional differences in IPA's...

The batch of beer that I bottled got infected. Had to throw the whole thing out.

Mine came in fine - again it was shipped from San Diego to San Ramon - so we're not talking a great distance.

If you make it out here, I'll share a bottle with you.
