My stepfather has died.

My stepfather has died.
He passed away at 5:29 pm.
His two older daughters, his wife, and his son-in-law were all there with him at the end.
The funeral be on Thursday.
Right now...I have no idea how to feel.

As I understand it, this has been a long ordeal for everyone. Naturally, you're tired, and right now, knowing how you feel isn't really important. Your feelings will make themselves felt and known and understood when you're better able to deal with them. Right now, you're tired, and probably relieved, and even feeling a bit guilty for feeling relieved. We work like that, us humans.

Of course you don't know what to feel. Grief can cause you to become numb, cuz you can't break down, there are things you have to do, people you have to support in their grief. It hits later, but by then you've learned to handle it.

Hugs Elrond and major hugs to Ariel (us oldsters have lost loved ones before but she's a little kid and hasn't been thru this before).

I'm very, very sorry about the loss of your step dad. He must have been a great guy, most stepchildren don't love their stepparents as much as you've shown here.
