Cows...in a suburb.

They've got a small, fenced-in plot where four or five cows graze. Last night and this morning, the cows have been mooing loudly and non-stop. Still, they're better than the owners.

The owners are real honest-to-goodness rednecks; pickup trucks, a Confederate flag, Stetson hats, the works. And every couple of weeks, they throw a real loud raucous C&W whoop-de-do. Boot-scootin', terbacka-chawin', roof-raisin', hootin' 'n' hollerin'...

Drives me crazy.

Oh yeah, and the W04 stickers on the trucks...

I'm gonna put an Obama yard sign up and see what happens. If I'm lucky, maybe they won't shoot out our windows...

2. Ah...how well I remember being there...
Ft. Lewis, 1/84 FA, 9th Infantry Division, 1972...and that little town of Roy...

And I can pronounce Puyallup, too...may not be able to spell it, but I can pernounce it...

3. Ah, Puyallup! First time I heard it, I thought it was a Southern cowboy phrase!

"Y'all? I just dropped that there lasso on the ground. Can someone puyallup it for me?"

Naw, just kidding, Aristus. You have a beautiful place in a gorgeous valley. I do worry about Mt. Rainier's pyro flows, 'though, that formed that valley. But, what the hay? Portland and environs will (someday) be subjected to a 9.0 earthquake. I do hope I'm dead before then.

Oh, you might be interested in this if you haven't seen it yet. I know you called me a couple of times at the station. It was good to speak with you. PM me if you want current contact information. Peace... and let's hope we make it through this %&^*#$ primary season.

7. My Angel Woman lives in Puyallup!
I visited her recently, and she visited me, and I will visit again...

She said when she first moved to the area she is in 8 years ago, it was basically nothing but a bunch of trees and a few houses. Now...it's a damn suburb
