3. I wish I could give you some of our t-storms.
It's one thing I hate about the southeast. That, and the heat and humidity. And the hurricanes.

Why do I live here?!

4. thunderstorms are one of the things I LOVE about the southeast -
but I'm from Southern California, where KitchenWitch is, and they really are rare there. I think I remember all of 3, and I lived there from birth to age 28.

11. The hail damage, wind damage, tornadoes, power outages...
Hate it.

Not to mention the TV coverage of the storms here. The local channels go nuts and do live coverage during the entire life of the storm, which sometimes last hours if there's a "train" of storms coming through.

Now, I DO love rain. I like a rainy, cold day. I think the Irish call it a "gray day."

22. Don't forget the big giant bugs-on-steroids
Biggest fucking roach I ever saw was scurrying across my deck (outside, thank God!) last night. It was so big that the dogs had to chase it away. That's down South for ya.

Just rain - you can keep the thunder if you'd like.

16. I think they finally have them controlled.
For a couple of mornings you would wake up and think that you had walked into a ashy fireplace, though.

15. Here in Burbank it's really weird weather
Edited on Thu May-22-08 01:49 PM by Beaverhausen
Wind kicking up again and looks like we might get some rain too.

Edit- Don't forget thunderstorms and lightening can cause fires. We don't need those.

21. 6 to 10 " in Flagstaff today and tomorrow.
We get most of Southern Cal's weather, except it's the "7000' feet up" version.

23. Yeah we did!!
It's done here now, but it rained to beat hell for about 15 minutes, and there were even a few claps of thunder!

And then, for some odd reason, about 15 minutes after the sun came out, our electricity went off. Weeeeiiird.
