I've read a few biographies about Elvis, and thought that they were two of the best.

of an essay written by Dave Barry called "Hearts That Are True." He went to Memphis to write about the "gate people" who hung around the gates of Graceland and, as a humor writer, expected to find some rich material. However, he ended up writing a long essay that took the people seriously (for the most part, anyway) and explained their devotion to Elvis.

The essay is called "Hearts That Are True" and appears in one of his books of collected essays and columns called "Dave Barry Is Not Making This Up." I looked for it on the web, but can't find it.

I think any Elvis fan would really enjoy reading that. In fact, you could sit in a bookstore and read it in short time.

Has some tasty Elvis memorabilia, and even makes his living as an Elvis impersonator.

He's not around much these days, but drops in once in a while. I register a thumbsup to Elvis on his behalf.

She will be 11 in just a few days, and we are headed to Memphis in Mid June. We are gonna go to Graceland and to Sun Studio. She's really excited about it!
