Discovering that the chef from the Thai restaurant whom I thought had left town had just opened her own place - so yummy Thai food is available once again in my teeny-tiny Blue Ridge town.

3. A sip of apple juice
The first few days when I was in hospital, I consumed no food and only occasionally was allowed a sip of apple juice. How I savoured it!

Now that I think, it doesn't seem to me such a simple pleasure, I guess...
