PSA: All parents need to learn CPR!!!!
Had to do the heimlich on my baby daughter. She choked on her dinner last night. She is fine but upset she did not get m&m's for breakfast.

1. That's scary, but Good On You for being prepared and
having the wits to act. It's hard to actually follow through sometimes in the moment of panic, I'm trained but have never had to use it and I worry sometimes about keeping my wits about me when if/when I do need to use it.

5. I would suggest everyone learn CPR, not just parents
it's a skill that can literally be the difference between life and death. Plus in a medical emergency you will find yourself calmer, as you have some idea what to do.

7. I am so glad she is okay...and I couldn't agree with you more.
Three times, in her childhood, I had to give WannaB the heimlich. It is a scary moment and hard to keep your wits about you. She has now, at the age of 18, apparently learned how to chew better.
