I'm going to the drive-in tonight...
:bounce::bounce:

The official start of summer is here...

We are seeing the new Indiana Jones and IronMan - any reviews are appreciated :D

I am insisting we take the dogs - MR MB hates that part but too bad :P

I have no idea how the little rat dog is going to behave - it is her first time, so wish us luck. I would hate to be asked to leave because the little tart could not behave.

Do you have any fun weekend plans?

:hi:

3. Upstate NY
Close to Saratoga Springs.

I love the drive-in. Granted, when I was younger, I used to sneak in beer, etc., now I like it because I can fall asleep during the second movie and not embarrass myself by snoring

4. Little MB really enjoys it.
I grew up in NYC so my first taste of the drive-in was as a teen.

We'd pack up coolers, food, etc.

This place is great because they let you bring all your own stuff if you'd like. They frown on alcohol, but you know it's there.

They even have a little dog park in the front next to the playground and the bouncy bounce.

18. I sure as hell hope not!
TM and I HAVE gotten busy in it and to think we were sitting on sloppy seconds just kind of creeps me out

20. We don't have any more here in Michigan either.
I used to love the way my Mom would make popcorn on the stove for hours and fill a brown grocery bag to bring for us. That and a big jug of Koolaide and some paper cups. I don't remember any of the movies I ever saw. I just remember being together and eating the cold popcorn soaked in butter and salt!!!

6. I can't imagine going when it is that hot out.
On days like that, my grandmother used to go to the theatre just to get the a/c since she had none in her apartment in NYC.

8. truly. We have already had one 100 degree day. In July /August
if it gets up to 100, it doesn't get below 85 all night ....we have NO day/night differential in temperatures in this area at all.

So if I went to the Drive in, would be sure I had a LOT of frozen water bottles in my insulated lunch bag!

7. taking the TRE train over to Dallas to see some good stuff at the Museum of Art
this is my first time to actually plan out and do my own expedition using the TRE and DART to get me where I want to go. I freaking hate driving over there. I will report back tonight on my day.

I may take myself to see Iron Man tomorrow evening.

9. That sounds great.
I may head into Albany to see this exhibit on Latin American and Caribbean Art on Monday:

Thankfully, driving in Albany is not as bad as being in one of the HUGH metropolitan areas like Dallas/Fort Worth. I don't think I would care for that.

11. I'm thinking about taking LK this weekend.
I'd rather take him to the drive-in, that way if he gets scared or asks annoying questions he's not annoying anybody but me, and he's comfortable if he falls asleep.

We might wait until next week, there's a discount on weekdays.

13. This is the first weekend it is open for the season,
so I'm sure it will be mobbed, but I want to see Indy IV and Mr MB wants to see IronMan so there really is no better option.

Have fun with LK. :hi:

an important part of my teen years.

Always tried to smuggle in friends in the car trunk!
