Poll question: What have you got for kitchen sink hoses
I've got a contractor in doing plumbing work. He replaced the copper pipes leading up to the kitchen taps with some cool looking hoses that look like they belong on the space shuttle. However, when you turn the taps on full blast, the run for about 1/2 a second and shut off. I suspect the hoses are designed for high-pressure and are collapsing due to Bernouli effect.

I think he needs to put the regular old boring grey hoses in.

What do you have under you sink?

1. All of my pipes are...
hoses made of burst-proof expanding polymer plastic meant to be freeze-proof, connected to a giant plumbing manifold so that every individual line can be kill-switched independent of the rest of the system. The system is designed for a large industrial building, but we have had a freezing problem so it was necessary. The system costs nearly $40,000.
