1. Maybe- slow starting, doing some research.
...a western. Probably not very accurate, probably start writing this weekend-have a few scetches written, about time to put some more together.

Good luck with yours.

18. Accuracy is the hard part.

That's why I'm setting mine in an alternate version of America, so I can just make things up as I go. I'm having so much fun making up names of imaginary bands and philosophers.

3. I was writing several a long time ago.
But my stories and characters were all very flat and 2 dimensional and so I decided to put them off until I stop sucking at storytelling. :P

Mostly of the sci-fi/fantasy variety. I set them in the RPG universes I created as a kid.

5. I was. Dystopian in nature.
I lost the plot partway through and now just go back and visit with the characters once in a while. Character development I can do. Plotting, not so much.

6. Yeah. The story starts like this....
"I am a freshman at a midwestern university, and I never thought I would send in a story like this. Last weekend, my sexy girlfriend and I were at an all campus party..."

Then I get overly bogged down worrying about character development, and writer's block sets in.

:D

9. I have about 600 letters
from my father to my mother during his 2 years in WWII. I am transcribing them and thinking of doing a weave of WWII history and my family history with good parts of the letters. He was in the 3rd army, 4th infantry division and came in after the D-Day landing as a reinforcement in France. He was in the battle of the Hurtgen Forest and the Battle of the Bulge and was a machine gunner. For a guy who rarely spoke about his service, he saw a lot of action. He was also rabidly anti war and told each of his grandsons never to join the military. He was, however, always proud of his service and was a lifetime member of the VFW and the American Legion. Some of the letters are simply amazing, I feel very fortunate to have them.

11. OK......
Two teenage boys. And one tells the other about his sexual exploits, all obvious lies, he's trying to seduce him. But I've been working on this for years and I don't know where it goes. I tried to rewrite it as the love two straight guys can have for each other. But same prob - where does it go? So I switched back, but I can't get past chapter 5. And it's not bad, the people I've let read it have really liked it. But I just don't know where to go with it.

Khash.

12. How you uh, how you comin' on that novel you're working on?

Huh? Got a a big, uh, big stack of papers there? Got a, got a nice litte story you're working on there? Your big novel you've been working on for three years? Huh? Got a, got a compelling protagonist? Yeah? Got a obstacle for him to overcome? Huh? Got a story brewing there? Working on, working on that for quite some time? Huh? Yeah, talking about that three years ago. Been working on that the whole time? Nice little narrative? Beginning, middle, and end? Some friends become enemies, some enemies become friends? At the end your main character is richer from the experience? Yeah? Yeah? No, no, you deserve some time off.

16. I was writing a novel, but I've changed it into something more...
I am writing a diary of sorts, one that has already been looked at and has had interest shown in of events in my life. I don't know if I will have the heart to go through with it or not... I don't know if I want to share that with the world, even while knowing it might help someone.
