What is it with the Hil bashing over in GDP?

Not are they only trashing her but Bill too.

Look, if you don't want to vote for her then don't. But personal attacks do not add to the discussion. Yeah, I think she should have dropped out of the race and said stuff she shouldn't have. But why the unrelenting nastiness?

There is no conversation. Only bashing, complaining about the bashing, and accusing the supporter of a candidate of being a basher just like the rest of their supporters on DU.

And the occasional relevant, intelligent comment. But those usually just get bashed.

16. I was going to post a defense of one of the candidates...
I just didn't want to get yelled at. I'm a supporter of the other and was little annoyed about how out of control this got. That was going to be the end of it. But I knew that it would just descend into flamebait, so I decided that it wasn't worth it.

32. Primaries are NEVER pretty at DU.
Take a huge group of opinionated political junkies and give them anonymity to discuss politics... Yep, that would be a recipe for a pretty big brawl. About the only thing more likely to create a furor would be to add a LOT of booze into the mix. NOW we are talking about a slugfest!

I dunno, I think the Primary in 04 got pretty stupid too. I bet I can still start a big old fight by calling out he Clarkies and the the Deaniacs.

Going back even further, I'd bet that to this day using the term "Naderite" could probably get you yelled at by a few.
