Barney is five-years=old and the Calico kitty, Daniel, is 24.

They turn into a ball of anger when they fight. :-(

I have no idea why she stays with us,but I sure enjoy her company.

Is that age very unusual? I've never owned a cat.

She shows every day of her age when you see her in person. She aches and she is stiff sometimes. But she keeps plugging along. She sleeps on my monitor because the heat soothes her aching bones. Costs me a monitor because of cat hair once a year, but I don't mind....

I know it's going to be any time now. That is why I cook for her and bring her water so she doesn't have to walk through Barney's 'hood. I want her last days as stress free as possible, but Barney is such an asshole towards her.

Good for you for keeping her out of Barney's way.

She is happy and content most of the time. She has to get down and eat and use the litter box from time to time,but she waits until Barney is sleeping.

Save for rare genetically-abnormal XXY cats, all tri-color calico cats are female. Is Daniel actually male, or is Daniel just female with a male's name?

he didn't know that most calico kitties are female. He woke up one day and she was nursing a litter of kittens. Can you imagine having a cat, thinking it's male this whole time, and finding it nursing kittens one morning?

I actually had a gender-mixup with my cat Dori. He was already neutered when we got him, so we didn't think to check at first--the paperwork said "female". We'd had "her" for about five days before I noticed that "she" didn't have any kind of external female genitalia. Ooops.

Annabel Lee became Dorian Gray. We thought it was fitting.

I have four : three 5 yr olds and one that is 15. The young boys scrap with one another and get into territorial disputes and beat the crap out of one another regularly. Then curl up together. However, NONE of them will mess with Old Thomas ever. See they still think he is the Big Cat, because he was already there when they were born. He was very nice to them and they respect him. The funny part is he now weighs barely 10 pounds and they weigh between 14 to 16 pounds EACH ..they are big boys. But they are so sweet to him.

she just hates other cats. She will growl and hiss at other cats that come close and Barney takes that personal, so he fucks with her. She LOVES dogs, so go figure.

When I have a party she has to visit every guest that has a lap. She just does not like other cats.

what I was going to do if they couldn't patch it up. But they are cool now.
