The manager of a local theatre just dropped by

to get me to encourage my congregation to see "Expelled"--that Ben Stein movie "debunking" evolution. She said all the churches in town were getting their members to go, so the theatre has set a special time aside for churches to go. It's next Thursday at a special time, but regular prices apply. I thought, "WTF? What makes it special if the prices are the same?". She seemed surprised when I told her that I really hope my parishioners will avoid that movie, and I suspect most will. "We encourage thinking and questioning here. And we don't have a problem with evolution. Some might see it out of curiosity, but they wouldn't be pleased with me if I tried to organize a time to go. I prob'ly won't waste time or money on it, myself. But I wish you luck." She left my office shaking her head.

I get so tired of people assuming we're fundies because we're Christian!!
