2. expedia.com will sometimes give a good deal.....sometimes not

In the UK Lastminute.com is really good, but I don't know if they have started up in the US yet.

3. Search for the tickets on yahoo first

Then search JetBlue, AirTran, Southwest, Spirit, and National if they serve your areas.

Find the lowest price and bid 20% under on Priceline.

HotWire.com and OneTravel.com have a lot of the deals you'll see on Priceline.
