I will grant that perhaps many of the above races may not have been partisan but I am not certain of that.

I am certain that one of the following was a partisan race:
Maine (7)
John Eder, State House, District 31
Nancy E. Randolph, Town Council, Brunswick
Jane Scease, Select Board, Topsham
Alice Knapp, Select Board, Richmond
Sue Mack, Chair, Select Board, Pownal
Antonio Blasi, Planning Board, Hancock
Ben Meikeljohn, School Committee At-Large, Portland

There are more states referenced on the Green Party of the US website.

Remember what Truman said, When given a choice between a real Republican and a fake Republican (i.e. DLC Republican-lite) the American people will choose the real one all the time. Just ask the voters in Missouri who, unfortunately, chose Talent(less) over Jean Carnahan. Ms Carnahan ran a Republican-lite campaign (including ads touting her support of Bush's then proposed war on Iraq) and lost to the real one.

7. I beg to differ
If they lived in California, I think the Jolly Green Giant, Sprout and Herman Munster would all have a good shot at winning the governorship.

You dont believe in these values?

I, on the other hand, being an independent would pick green over GOP-lite Democrats any day.

5. Minneapolis has a couple of Greens on the City Council
I support Greens at the local level but not in races where the future of our state or country is at stake.
