Operation Paperback

According to the clerk at the post office, it now takes
about 2 weeks for mail to get to the ME. I asked if
that means 2 weeks from here to the person's hands or
just to the Customs. He thinks it is the complete trip.

Since I have no idea what happened to the packages we
sent in March and April, I decided to try Operation
Paperback and see how that goes.

Check the web site. If you send nothing but paperback
books, you get the cheap book rate. Since I had some
room to fill, I added some magazines which makes it
parcel post rate. ($25 - yikes)

I chose a base in Germany rather than having to wonder
where the package is in the ME, also I didn't feel like going
through each book and magazine and ripping out
any and all *skin* photos, including ads.

Maybe next time Korea or Japan?
