1. Cool!
I knew he was big into aviation, but didn't realize he works as a pilot. That's very interesting.

4. "I gotta fever, and the only remedy, is more COWBELL!!!!"

I thought it was funny when Chris Walken used the name Bruce Dickenson in the "Blue Oyster Cult/I Gotta Have More Cowbell" Sketch on SNL.

Wonder why they chose that name to use.

9. "You guys will be wearin' gold-plated diapers when I'm done with you!"
I read that BOC started as an art-house band that was meant to poke fun at headbangers and stoners. Even the name, Blue Oyster Cult, was meant to be a joke.

The members of BOC were actually art students who hung our with the Warhol crowd and the band itself was something of a farce. Supposedly. Ever heard this?

5. Bruce was also...
At one time, a world-ranked fencer, his strong suit being the saber. I remember Bill Barclay, their tour manager, telling me that he was, at that time, being considered a serious contender for the Olympics.

My Iron Maiden story: I was walking down the street in Oxford, London one evening and ran into Billy Barclay. After we made our raucous greetings and salutations, much to the interest of passing Londoners, he invited me to Adrian's bachelor party, which was about to kick off at Trident Studios. All the lads were there, as well as the cream of the British Metal Community, circa 1982.

That's about all I remember. Or care to remember, actually. ;-)

The temperature at your destination is a pleasant 20 degrees celcius and the local time is TWOOOOOOO MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT!!!!!!!!!

:-)

This is old news BTW, he's been doing this for ages.
