3. Skinemax of course.
Otherwise it's no worse than any other premium channel.

4. Faux
without question.

It's a hell of a lot easier to explain your views on sex/violence in movies, than to explain that the "news" channel you're watching is wrong in the first place.

5. I vote FAUX
Edited on Mon Aug-11-03 03:47 PM by silverlib
My 14 year-old would not watch Cinemax cause it would gross her out. The FAUX trash prgramming (prime time) may not have nudity, but there vulgar in a more subtle and underlying way. Never could understand how there news could be so biased to the right and their programming so "cheap." Couldn't be money, could it?

6. don't put it past 'em
Given how shamelessly they seek to dominate the market, my money's on there being a "Faux Naked News" channel by 2010.

7. EWTN or TBN or CBN...
Eternal Word Television Network and
Trinity Broadcasting Network and let's not forget Marion Robertson's Christian Broadcasting Network....

I don't think anyone under the age of 21 should watch those, and damn few people over the age of 21...

9. My son calls Faux, Fux
as he says "they fux with your brain, mom." Or "they are all fuxd up at Fox".

I'd rather have my child watch nudity than worry about him being brainwashed and lose any of his critical thinking ability.

10. What about MTV?
I will not allow my two children to watch it, mainly due to shows like Jackass.

11. I don't either.
In fact, when he was small, I had to limit Nickelodeon to just the Rugrats, or similar. I found that when he watched Nickelodeon his behavior changed - rude and a bit wild. I experimented with his time watching that channel, and it did something to his behavior each and every time. To this day, I'm not sure what it was. Frankly, he wasn't too upset over the restrictions, either. I don't know what that station is like now that he's outgrown their programming.

12. What's the worst they're going to see on Skinemax?
the occasional bare boobie? That won't do them nearly the harm that being brainwashed by the corporate right-wing junta will do. 44% of Americans believed before we went into Iraq that "all or most" of the 9/11 hijackers were Iraqi nationals. Why? Because Faux was filling their heads with lies and crap.

13. How old is the kid in question?
I severely limited my sons' TV watching when they were young, and it paid off. They're reasonably well behaved in front of me, never any trouble with the law, do their homework, phone me if they're going to be late getting home. Of course, they still don't clean their rooms unless I yell at them, but what the heck.
