1. My motivation was my pride.
I am so bad at math and science the only motivation I needed was to prove to myself that I could do it. I studied my butt off.
That probably doesn't help, sorry.

3. The only thing I can think to tell you is to put in the time
I know that sucks, but that's the way it is. For my statistics class last quater I had to do some heavy duty algebra involving memorization of complicated formulas. The only thing that helped me was devoting the time to the study. Our teacher told us that you should spend two hours studying for every hour of class time that you have. That formula was pretty accurate. Sometimes I even spent more time than that.

4. You weren't specific about what clsses, but my advice
Usually in science classes, there is a bunch of vocabulary. Go over these definitions. In chemistry and physics, you might have to memorize forumulas. If you do, go over these. If you will be expected to solve chemistry and physics problem, practice solving these problems. Even if you are not assigned these problems, there should be some in your textbook.
With math, it is a practice thing. Prctice solving the problems.
As far as motivation, You don't want to have to take these classes again, do you?
