My Review of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" (No Spoilers)
While watching this movie, I couldn't help but think that Hugh Jackman is a young Clint Eastwood look alike. Then, I thought about the many movies that Clint made that Hugh could remake. Films such as The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. They could redo the Dirty Harry series, etc. I kept thinking about how they could redo the Dirty Harry movies. Make the theme of them more contemporary. It would be kind of a challenge to remake the Dirty Harry movies. Then, I thought about re-making Play Misty for Me. That would be interesting.

After running through the littany of Clint Eastwood films that Hugh Jackman could re-make, the X-Men movie ended, and that is my review.

1. People are always blathering about a Gunslinger film series.
The role was written with Eastwood in mind.

I guess Jackman could pull it off.

4. I used to go by the name "Matcom."
My signature included a big frog with a big toothy grin.

I was a big Hillary Clinton supporter. And I was well known for posting about my cats, and all the trouble I was having with my college age boyfriend.

6. 20 years ago, when my friends and I were assembling a cast list for an X-Men movie
We picked Eastwood for Wolverine, knowing that he was already too old and would never go for it.

We picked Patrick Stewart for Prof. X, which was based less on foresight than on an inability to think of other bald (and not soon-to-be-dead) actors.

We were stuck for casting Storm. I think we figured Grace Jones, because she was big then.

Regardless of the overall quality of the movie, they made a great choice in not using Tyler Mane again as Sabretooth.
