1. Harder to maintain and upgrade

as most laptop parts are not as interchangeable as many desktop parts are.

You can also add in the netbook trend to this rise. Vista is killing Microsoft and Windows 7 has a ways to go. MacOS X is superior in so many ways.

Windows still great for general purpose computing, and cynical as I get I still want to remain cognizant of other viewpoints. But it's got problems... Win7 definitely has to turn Microsoft around... I will admit 64-bit Vista was rock solid stable (only signed, kernel-mode drivers are permitted), but the memory usage was too much for me. I do think it uses a lot of RAM in general (hence the hoggy comments), but I will say I have missed Media Center since removing my PC in favor of my iMac... I'll see about Apple TV and other components...

3. Of course Macs are better for Graphic Design

and they are working their way into other uses. They are big in scientific computing and gaining traction in the business world. As long as Microsoft keeps their hardware requirements up it will only hurt them.
