Delicious. They added a nice sweet flavor that complimented the cheese really well. Normally I just add some tomato slices (good but boring). So, what other tasty ingredients have I been missing out on all these years that I could throw in a grilled cheese?

1. I did a slight variation on that the other night.
I made quesadillas with tortillas flavored with chipotle peppers. I sauteed onions, and red ,green and yellow peppers and then put them together with colby and monterey jack cheese. I then baked them in the oven to keep them low-fat. They were really good!:9

2. I like the onion-tomato-horseradish effect.

4. Thinly sliced ham. Mustard. Green Olives. Or, of course, BACON.
If you are doing ham, you might want to saute it up first, then let it drain on a paper towel.

If you are doing bacon, let two slices fry crisp, drain well, and crumble.

Green olives are the best....
