God hates me and has a horrible plan for my life.

So, I renewed my car registration on line. It's all paid for, and legal, and everything. Except, for some reason, the damn receipt wouldn't print. I tried several times. And now, the web page that was the receipt has disappeared. So, I gave the state my $125, for registration and late fee. My stickers are supposed to come in 5-10 business days. In the meantime, if a cop stops me, I can't prove I paid the fee.

I'm like the living embodiment of Murphy's Law. :banghead:

On a serious note, go to the DMV. Explain the situation. They should be able to give you some kind of letter.

4. That's a good idea.

Going to the Secretary of State's office, I mean. Although, I have found it unnecessary to drive today. I'm lucky to live next door to my office. Not within walking distance to the hospital, though. So, just watch several people catch swine flu and need their pastor to come visit!!

Apparently, the state means it when they say stickers expire at the end of the month on the sticker. Damn anal state!

that as soon as your payment hits the computer, triggering the issuance of the stickers, it upgrades the cops' software. If they pull you over for a bad sticker, their data should show it as paid even if you have no proof.

At least in dumbass Florida it is.

Also, if you got a ticket, you could go to court to defend yourself with the date of issuance of the new registration that would precede the ticket. You wouldn't need Bruce Cutler to beat that offense.
