I just read a "Star Trek" novel to prepare for the movie coming out

"Battlestations!" by Diane Carey.

Damn, she really brings the Star Trek universe alive. I love her books that take place in that universe. Hers were the ones I always read until the covers fell off. "Final Frontier" and "Best Destiny" in particular.

Anybody else getting ready for the opening weekend?

I'll go see it in the theater, which for me is very odd. I see 1 movie every 2 years or so in theaters.

but, I'll go see this one just in case it's good. I would hate to wait for the DVD and see it and say 'damn, wish I had seen that in the theater'.

hope it will be worth the money, but not actually expecting it.

4. We have two of them in the Twin Cities

One does doubles, one does triples. If it's playing at one of those I'll be there, weather permitting, of course. :-)

My kid's in Colorado next weekend.
