1. Business casual would certainly work...
I tend to wear my little polo shirts and knit slacks, but that's me. Not dressy, but still look OK.

7. Princess Leia dress, complete with cinnamon bun hairdo.
When asked if there is any reason you should not be seated, tell the judge it wouldn't be fair because you can read the defendant's mind.

Hey, it worked for Tina Fey on "30 Rock".

I went for jury duty a few years ago and I was the FIRST person selected to not serve by the plantiff's attorney.

29. Once I actually wore a black "Salem, MA--City of Witches" T-shirt with a big pentagram.
It was at a time when I just had too much happening in my life to be on a jury too. But my jury panel never even got called into the court room.

20. It's probably too late to go full Nugent.
That would require many days of not bathing, plus bodily functions.

Seriously, though, I'd dress for comfort rather than style, with nothing that invites a contempt ruling.

31. Like funerals, I tend to wear all black.
Wearing casual clothing indicative of my personal style might suggest a bias, even though I go out of my way to hide labels and other stuff like that... unless I was paid to show the label, of course...

32. When I did it last summer, I wore a dark dress and sandals,
with pearl earrings. I was completely overdressed!! I thought of it as something one ought to look a bit serious about, but most people were in jeans, even cut offs, t-shirts, etc. So, I guess I'm not the one to ask. I was totally out of place.
