That was the biggest, nastiest rat I've ever seen.

I was out walking my sister's 6 year old Lab puppy when she suddenly tried to break free to chase something. I thought it was a squirrel but it turned out to be a rat. I didn't know they hissed- I certainly hope I never get too close to a set of teeth like the ones he was showing us! Handsome fellow, really- the raccoon mask made me think for a moment it was something else, but that long gray tail said I'M A RAT, you fool!

Inoculations or not, I got Lady out of there. I didn't want her to be chomped on.

Nasty bugger. I'm still creeped out about it two hours later. :scared:

1. A rat once chased my uncle down. He had a walking stick and

had to hurt the rat. I think it must have been a rabid rat. It hissed at him and then turned toward him and charged him. Crazy rat.

Rats really get a bad rap. They aren't soo bad! They can be cute.

My dog once had one backed in a corner in our backyard. Never been so freaked out in my life. That possum could have done some damage.

That's an opossum. They have long, grey tails and they hiss. Possum hissing is actually something of a joke around here, because it's like they're TRYING to be scary, but...they're possums. They just can't seem to get it right.

Right coloring, except for the mask around the eyes he had. It could well have been an opossum.
