1. #2 and #9 are not cats but dogs
I believe that was the dog that would win the ugliest dog contest every year - I think it's a Chinese Crested.

5. What LynneSin said...
Saw a Most Outrageous! segment featuring #9...his name is Elwood. He's the result of a cross between a Chinese Crested and a Chihuahua.
When his particular genetic dice rolled they came up :wtf:

His tongue is the result of teef missing on that side of his mouth. You oughta see him on TV...
he looks brittle, bony, and fragile, and he moves as though somebody forgot to add 'joints that move freely and lubrication of same' to his original specs- but apparently he's perfectly healthy.
Famous too.

And as for who's the cutest?
I asked Riktor what he thought (since he was sitting RIGHT in front of the monitor while I was trying to type this)...
he just PURRRRed and said "Do you really have to ask? I am, you twit!"

4. I just said to someone the other day: I have never seen an ugly cat.
Boy. I guess I can't say that ever again. Poor things!

i love sphynxes. but they are definitely an accquired taste. my grandmother had one for several years. (perfect grandma cats!) she was a lilac point named jasmeen and number 6 reminds me of her. she was very friendly.

sphynxes are nowhere near as fragile and sickly as they might look BTW.

7. Why do people mess around with genetics to such an extent?
So sad. Poor kitties (well, the ones that are really kitties). Also, poor furless dogs. :(
