2. NO WAY
Joan and her daughter are both crazy and cannot seperate buisness from personal life! I like Joan other that! You are right about Annie but I still like her better than Joan. She doesnt pretend to be anything she is not and honestly I think they should have let Jesse take the whole cake but ratings wouldnt allow it! LOL  and I really dont care for Annie's charity as much as I liked Jesse's.

3. It's not on yet on west coast, we're watching final Amazing Race.
In which the winning asshole team enjoyed an unfair advantage, fluent speakers of Chinese and the last three segments were in China and involved such tasks as learning how to order food in Chinese.

Snotty assholes.

4. Okay We Won't Spoil It For You then.....
But I will say that Joan's charity is alot more noble for helping people right here in the United States as opposed to Annie's charity which will not help out a single American....

7. True that. Their charities:
Joan: "God's Love We Deliver" http://www.glwd.org/

Annie: "Refugees International" http://www.refugeesinternational.org/

8. That was bullshit.
The Harvard educated lawyer snots also spent spring break in one of the locations, so they were more than familiar with the area. Did you hear them discussing that a couple of episodes ago?

This was the worst Amazing Race ever.

"Aw, shit!!!"

Just my opinion.

9. I watched it.
My husband doesn't understand why I dislike Annie and not Joan. I tried to explain to him that Joan says what she has to say to one's face while Annie is a two-faced back stabber. She trashed Brande to Joan and then tried to wiggle out of it by sucking up to Brande and they both froze Melissa out while they kissed each other's asses.

I think the best woman won. You could see Joan's emotional attachment to her charity while I think Annie was involved in her charity for her image.

10. Yeah, I watched it. ( SPOILER WARNING for the West Coast)
Was not happy with the result. I totally lost all respect for Joan, who really did take everything personally and launched uncalled-for nasty personal attacks (and not just against Annie). She never let Annie finish a sentence or a defense of herself, trying to override every scene by being loud and hysterical, while Annie was just giving the straight facts. Joan did in fact piss off the event planner to the extent that they quit for both teams - and then claimed it was a lie. Unbelievable. I didn't like how she got way too emotional over everything, and this symbiotic/pathological relationship with her daughter turned me off as well. Not to say they both didn't have talent and ability, but other factors ended up outweighing that for me. Toward the beginning of the season I liked her, but now - ugh. Since she did win the final task with 3 out of 5 criteria, and admittedly she did put on the better event, she pretty much had to win - but that's not to say I think she deserved it.

14. Joan won because she played the game better, period.
Edited on Mon May-11-09 01:38 AM by Chovexani
She won the task.

And Annie, as usual, was completely pathetic and obsessed with Joan and pimping herself as the center of attention. So much for her vaunted poker cool. Tom pretty much nailed her in the car.

She's basically a one trick pony, and that didn't fly tonight.

13. Glad Joan won!
The phone call to her friend looking for cross-dressers was really funny.
Her friend has a great sense of humor too.
I thought Donald was going to confess that the party planners were really a set-up. They guy was a talentless hack who refused to listen to his customer so they threw a fit? Geez

15. Assuming that wasn't all staged
Edited on Mon May-11-09 01:42 AM by Chovexani
It was incredibly unprofessional on the part of the planner to treat a client like that. He was totally unwilling to think outside the box or adapt to the client's wishes. What kind of asshole refuses to listen like that? Especially when the client herself has a background in successful event planning.

Of course it was all staged for drama, though. It's a "reality" show, after all. Though part of me wonders if it was also meant to throw them both a curveball so they'd have to think fast on their feet.

Edited on Mon May-11-09 02:21 AM by KT2000
The lobby of the event planning company spoke volumes about their "talent."
Joan really supplied some reality though. She cracks me up.

19. I think the party planner pulling out was staged and put in there to throw them both
a loop. In listening to Joan's conversation with him, I couldn't understand why he quit. She rejected two bad ideas from him (and she wasn't mean in doing so) and just asked if a friend of hers could work with him. Then he ups and quits and withdraws from Annie as well? It made absolutely no sense to me. It didn't seem to make sense to the audience either as they were clearly on Joan's side when Annie started to accuse Joan of being so aggressive with the party planner that they quit.

You would think that party planners were being Very Well paid by the production company and why would they want to risk their reputation in such a public venue?

17. All I can say is wahoo!
I have been a huge fan of Joan Rivers ever since I was a little girl... and watching Annie trash talk one person behind their back... ugh.. I hate two-facedness

I would much rather have you call me a whore pit viper to my face...

Yes Joan got overdramatic at times, but you know what... I love her anyway.

20. Sigh. That was bullshit. I really like Annie Duke.
She may have been slightly full of herself during the season, but justifiably so. She did have almost every good idea on the show. Also, I looked her up on newsmeat this morning and she gives to Democrats (http://www.newsmeat.com/fec/bystate_detail.php?st=CA&last=duke&first=annie). That's not why I liked her, but it doesn't hurt ;-)

Anyway, by objective criteria, Annie won the last task. Throughout the season, every time Joan and her idiot daughter didn't get fired I figured Trump must have promised one of them the win to get Joan on the show. In my opinion, this just proves it.

21. There were 5 parts to the final task
Edited on Mon May-11-09 08:39 AM by Bill219
Joan won three of them according to the Kodak people.

Besides, Joan played Annie like a cheap fiddle throughout the entire game and Annie was too stupid to figure it out.

Annie is supposed to be this master people reader and she got duped by Rivers.

Even Tom Green knew it who pointed it out to Annie in the van.

Annie even knew it by the look on her face during the van ride with Tom after he pointed it out to her.

22. okay. You and Tom Green can have your opinion and I'll have mine.
:-)

The final task included both objective and subjective judging criteria and Annie was far and away the smartest person on the show.

The Kodak people were wrong about Gene Simmons, too.
