Amelia the cat's audition for the Joie Kitwood Thrill Team (dialuppians: 400K)
(cuz I'm pretty sure Joie Chitwood wasn't a cat...)

Amelia, also known as the Monkey, who is periodically (like whenever she's awake) bossy, heard a bird and had to jump up to the window to go see. Unfortunately, my three-legged Dollar General table had other ideas. However, the Monkey has good balance, and made it stand up on two legs, no doubt as a tribute to Joie. I got the shot, then righted the table:

(Yes, it's a heated cat bed. Yes, I know I'm a crazy cat person. I'm relaxed about it.)

2. Amelia says make with the scritches and you can call her a Norwegian Forest Cat,
a Maine Coon, a domestic longhair, an alley cat, or whatever you want.:D

3. We once had a calico who like to watch nature shows on TV
every time birds would come on, her tail would start going side to side really fast (she had lived outdoors for who knows how long before she strolled into our kitchen right at the beginning of Thanksgiving dinner!).

But even Anastasia would have to bow down to the Monkey!

5. Monkey didn't have a lot of interest in nature shows

when I had access to cable but she always came running when I played Tiggy (the talking cat)'s video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eV71mpbvl-g&feature=related
It is one of the few sadnesses of being back on dial-up that I can't play it for her anymore without having to wait a half hour for it to load.

6. She's a dollbaby, is she not?
Her personality is equally nice, the bossiness is sweet and funny, though that may be because she has a nice little voice. If she sounded like a Siamese, I'd probably find it a lot more grating. (Apologies to Siamese owners.)

7. We have a heated cat bed, too. Nothing strange about it.
My feline overlords require it.

8. Milo looks to be much smarter than the Monkey; he probably ordered it himself.
On the other hand, we could start a Crazy Cat People DU Group; probably be a big hit.:P
